My Boxing Day Attire

Hello from the slopes! This is a scheduled post as I’m currently in Megeve doing a Bridget Jones down the slopes and narrowly missing trees/children/pesky snowboarders.

And although I will inevitably leave with some form of injury, this holiday couldn’t of come soon enough…

I finally moved away from Leeds on Saturday and the time came for Kit to see the extent of the shopping I’ve done (and slightly hidden) for the past 7 weeks. While he neatly packed his two bags into the car, I thought he was going to explode as he turned around to see the mountain of stuff piled up by the door. After some swear words I’ve never heard before and multiple feet to squish everything in, I reigned victorious as it all fitted snugly in.

With a 4 hour journey uncomfortably wedged between my collection of hats and a bin bag of shoes, and Kit rattling on about a shopping addiction or something, I felt that the best thing to do was to fall asleep and wake up refreshed when we had finally arrived. I have no idea why this made him more grumpy…

In one of my many bags was this lovely (and new – don’t tell Kit) H&M shirt which I wore on Boxing Day, paired with my favourite Topshop jeans and Republic boots. The silky texture and leopard print makes it the perfect level of dressy for a family get together, however if I’d known I’d be playing Just Dance on the Wii for two hours against two kids, I’d have worn gym clothes. You just can’t get optimum knee bend-age whilst shaking it to Crazy in Love in skinny jeans.

Are you getting excited for new year? Do you have an outfit planned?
